Path of Exile 2 is a reality; new trailer and first gameplay

Grinding Gear Games shows Path of Exile 2 in motion for the first time.

Path of Exile 2 is a reality. The big surprise of the last ExileCon was the confirmation of the sequel to one of the most successful free to play in recent years. A two-minute trainer returned his followers to a dark, grotesque world, just as they were used to in the original. You can see it below:

The title will feature a new narrative arc divided into seven acts, with the freedom that Grinding Gear Games always offers. Players can choose whether to play the original or the new campaign; regardless of the choice they will have the same endgame, so it will be subject to the player profile. All the contents and expansions that the original received will be added in the sequel.

At the moment we know that there will be up to 19 new classes of ancestry. While they come from the same archetypes as the first one, they will have different abilities. The skill system has been replaced by one called “Skill Gem”, in which users will have the same level of depth in terms of customization but modernized to improve the “quality of life”, as English speakers often say.

The trailer has not been the only visual preview of Path of Exile 2. As with Diablo IV, it has shown almost a quarter of an hour of gameplay in which we can see his new countenance, playable news and some other surprise.

On its official website the study is sincere: they still do not know when it will reach the market. The development is in full process, and its existence will not impact the quarterly content cycle to which Path of Exile users are accustomed. Naturally, these additives will also be available in the sequel. While it is true that they would like to start a trial period at the end of next year (at least), it is simply an estimate.
