Babylon's Fall: PlatinumGames will offer more information by the end of 2019

The new original game of the creators of Nier: Automata and Bayonetta was announced more than a year ago, but since then hardly known about him.

Absolute silence. In this way, both Square Enix and PlatinumGames have been maintained for more than a year. Those responsible for Babylon's Fall, a title announced during E3 2018, plan to offer new information about the game before the end of 2018. It is confirmed by producer Yosuke Saito, who in an interview with Automaton, has also revealed that the studio still has other games not announced in progress.

The title, in development for PS4 and PC, is set in a decadent medieval universe. Beyond the announcement teaser, details about it have barely been revealed. What is clear is that PlatinumGames continues to work on several projects at the same time. The developer published Astral Chain last August, exclusively for Nintendo Switch, but the future opens with new releases, among which is the expected Bayonetta 3.

Bayonetta's tenth birthday

The saga starring the witch Bayonetta is topical, because the tenth anniversary of the franchise has already been fulfilled. Not surprisingly, since PlatinumGames have organized a contest that will end on November 19 and invites players to draw and publish their own drawings. Among the prizes for the winners is a shirt designed by Mari Shimazaki, responsible for the art of the series.

Although not officially confirmed, Hideki Kamiya, a veteran of Capcom and director of some of the most successful PlatinumGames games, joked with Ikumi Nakamura, former Tango Gameworks, about the possibility of Okami returning in the future. "Okami is coming back! We want to make an sequel to Okami and the fans are also looking forward to it. You would like to see Kamiya's Okami again, right? I want to work on it too! ”They said in a humorous way.

What projects will be in the plans of the Japanese study? For now, it's time to wait.
