The American company confirms that it will be a title focused on virtual reality and, therefore, has nothing to do with Half-Life 3.
Half-Life: Alyx is a reality. Valve has confirmed through its social networks that the most recognized intellectual property of the head of portals such as Steam is back; although not in the way that many expected: a virtual reality video game.
It will be this Thursday, November 21, when from 19:00 (Spanish peninsular hours) / 18:00 (Canary Islands) it is known what exactly this “flagship game in VR” is, as the statement says On twitter.

Signs, possible study and development status
From here everything else is mere speculation. Valve is being very jealous of revealing the minimum possible of this project, in whose image you can only see the Valve logo, the Steam virtual reality department and, finally, the Half-Life logo.
Different unconfirmed sources anticipate that it is a title whose development is much more advanced than we might think and that, in the best scenario, would arrive before the end of spring. In any case, we insist that these statements do not have official support.
What is undeniable is that Half-Life 2 has turned 15 years old. The one that was for some the first approach to this beloved license celebrates its third five years in the market and does so without having continuation beyond that Episode 2 published there by 2007.
The question that many are asking now is what study is in charge of the development of Half-Life: Alyx, because it is also an unknown. Sources like ScreenRant advance in a report that multiple members who worked on the development of Valley of Gods (Campo Santo Productions) are now immersed in Valve. This Thursday we will know if the authors of Firewatch are really in charge of this project or not and in what state the game is currently.
