Dune builds on Conan Exiles, but gets bigger and better

This year Funcom was able to acquire the rights to the Dune franchise, whose production is now running at full speed. The plans for the game are certainly very ambitious.

As part of the current quarterly report commented that Dune based on Conan Exiles builds, but significantly larger and better. According to CEO Rui Casais and CFO Stian Dragset, players can look forward to a premium experience that will once again be supported as a live service.

"It will be an evolution of what Conan Exiles is, but with Dune and with something bigger and better."

The basis for this is above all the experience that has been made with Conan Exiles, both in terms of programming, the design, the kind that will be taken up in part, while other things are dropped. Above all, the fast pace with which Conan Exiles was developed eventually resulted in unnecessary technical problems that you would like to avoid with Dune.

To do this, you start on a platform that can be scaled and expanded more easily later. Which platform that will be, however, does not betray. Also, it is unclear on which consoles or PC platforms Dune will appear. But you can probably assume that the release will take place only in the next generation.
