The Niantic title based on the J.K. franchise Rowling evolves with one of the most used mechanics in the Pokémon game.
The Chamber of Secrets opened again and from it emerged the basilisk, a huge beast tamed by the heir of Slytherin. However, the time of Halloween is over, so the animal has returned to shelter in its den. On the other hand, we approach another time of the year full of festivities, that of Christmas. And with them, the gifts, precisely the functionality that will debut in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the title of Niantic for mobile devices.
This mechanic is taken from Pokémon GO, a video game also developed by Niantic. Not surprisingly, it will work in a very similar way, because we can take gifts from some locations and then give them as an ingame object to any of our friends. Unlike Pokémon GO, which has PokéParadas and Gyms, Wizards Unit has taverns, fortresses and teahouses. In each of these locations we will have the possibility to send different types of gifts.

Different colors, different rewards
In the inns we can send one of the most coveted items by Harry Potter players: Wizards Unite, the blue box that contains the energy of spells. This is so because without that power our character will be vulnerable and will have many options of falling into combat. On the other hand, the fortresses have yellow boxes, inside which runes are hidden, while in the tea houses we will find green boxes. The latter store ingredients for potions. All boxes give magical experience and allow us to get random objects.
These gifts are to deliver other friends, so that the player can not open their own gifts. The boxes will be ordered in a new inventory designed specifically for this. You will only be allowed to send a gift to the same friend every 24 hours. In addition, it will be allowed to accumulate 100 gifts in the inventory and open a maximum number of 10 per day.
The arrival of the gifts has no official date, but the website confirms that they will be implemented in the near future, so everything seems to indicate that it will not be delayed excessively.
