Alien: Isolation is filled with xenomorphs thanks to a mod

A modder manages to put up to eight Aliens within some specific levels, so that the danger multiplies exponentially.

Amanda Ripley walks through one of the shady corridors of Sevastopol, a space station that harbors the most terrible horrors one can imagine. The girl, daughter of Lieutenant Ripley, tries not to make noise, although the metal floor finishes do not help drown out the sound. In Alien: Isolation, the woman will meet an evil xenomorph, but what would you think if she found eight of those creatures?

That is precisely what the mod developed by Matt Filer proposes, which adds multiple xenomorphs at certain levels of the game. Through a video, the modder has presented Aliens: Isolation, a mod designed because, according to Filer, there are players who want more challenges. This is suggested in conversation with Eurogamer. "I've heard people complaining that the game is too easy, so this should satisfy them," he emphasizes.

A method that can change

According to the modder, he has achieved it using the NPCs that are generated in the environment, so that instead of the appearance of normal characters, the mod modifies them to emerge as Aliens. However, he is still studying the engine to determine if he can modify the technique, so this could change in the future.

Alien: Isolation is a title originally released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. During E3 2019, SEGA announced that The Creative Assembly game will also be marketed on Nintendo Switch. Of course, mods are only available in compatible. In the case of this one in particular, the work is not yet complete. Filer intends to touch the artificial intelligence of the xenomorphs so that the gameplay adapts better.

Although neither The Creative Assembly nor SEGA have announced their willingness to extend the saga with a sequel, the game has a story published in comic format, by Dark Horse. It's about Aliens: Defiance.
