Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness (Netflix) confirms the actors of Claire and Leon from RE 2 Remake

This new 3D animated series will be canon and feature a story in which Leon and Claire have a lot to say.

The expansion of Resident Evil to film and television has been underway for years, but Capcom has taken a step further in that direction with new series and films. The agreement of the Japanese company with Netflix has allowed the creation of at least two audiovisual products based on the popular horror saga. On the one hand, a series of Resident Evil in real action; on the other, the animated series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The platform has just shown a new poster of the fiction on its official Twitter account and has confirmed that Nick Apostides and Stephanie Panisello will again play Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, respectively. They both participated in Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Leon, one of the old acquaintances of the saga, appears holding his pistol. Right behind, with a flashlight in her hands, Claire, another classic character observes the situation, without the viewer seeing what she is looking at. At the bottom, the zombie apocalypse gathers in front of an iconic US building, the White House. “Even in the dark, a familiar voice can make a difference,” they write in the tweet that accompanies the image.

A canon script

The history of this series will be part of the canon of the saga, so everything that is told in the series must be analyzed carefully. “When biohazards are released, only a couple of veteran zombie hunters can get the job done. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a new original series framed in the canon of Capcom’s classic survival horror saga, ”they posted in another tweet.

The saga will return to video games this coming May 7, and it will do so with two different proposals. Resident Evil Village, the eighth main installment of the series, will take us to a remote town. Between the layers of snow, the witch Lady Dimistrescu weaves Ethan’s destiny, who returns to the fore after Resident Evil 7. The game will also include Resident Evil Re: Verse, an online multiplayer title.
