GTA Online: Rockstar plans at least one more year of content

The company does not reveal the content it has planned for the coming months, but says they have many ideas.

GTA Online has been running for six years. The problems of the launch did not prevent the product from evolving and incorporating new content, until in the end they have managed to exploit a game mode that goes beyond GTA V, the title that accompanied it since its premiere. In Rockstar Games they still do not plan the end of the service, since the company profiles a new year of content, in addition to its next products.

Rob Nelson, founder of Rockstar North, has revealed that the study has drawn a road map to continue expanding the product over the coming months. "We try to keep the plans for about a year, but we want to have flexibility to respond to any change," the manager told PC Gamer. Therefore, they do not reveal the complete plan in advance.

“This means that players must feel confident that we have a lot of brilliant ideas yet to come. We have been six years and we have just reached a record of players, so we are incredibly grateful to all who have been with us along the way. ” After the Halloween event, it's time to leave the pumpkins and scary costumes to get on Santa's overalls. Nelson points out that we wait for Christmas events.

The resounding success of GTA V

GTA Online received a great update in summer with the incorporation of the Diamond Casino. Meanwhile, GTA V continues to reap success. In November 2019, Take-Two Interactive, a company that owns Rockstar Games, announced that 115 million copies of its flagship game had already been sold. In the last six months alone, the American company managed to sell five million copies of a title that it has been in stores since 2013.

It is not the only online video game they keep running. Red Dead Online, which was born in the heat of Red Dead Redemption 2, takes place in parallel to GTA Online.
