Final Fantasy VII Remake includes colors "with an originality that no other games have"

This is stated by one of those responsible for the original game, who works in the remake as responsible for the visual effects.

As the release date of the expected Final Fantasy VII Remake approaches, Square Enix offers new data about the game. In a recent entry on his website, Shintaro Takai, a member of the original and current team responsible for the effects of the reimagined version, has written about his memories and news of the remake. According to the creative, this title implements colors that have never been seen in other video games.

"Among the big games that are acclaimed for their photorealistic graphics," says Takai, "Final Fantasy VII is a bit different." According to the developer, the game is not only realistic, but incorporates "colors with an originality that are not found in other games." The artist explains that "the effects are a particularly favorable area to express the different elements of the game."

Takai hopes that players know how to appreciate the effects beyond their beauty, since they have worked to represent a combination of realism and magic. "The various graphic design elements have been incorporated into all the shelves of the vast Midgar," he says.

Memories of the past: the classic Final Fantasy VII

The Squaresoft veteran created the effects of the PlayStation classic. "Then, the scale of development was so exorbitant and massive that I threw myself into the task for which I was responsible, without fully understanding what kind of videogame we were creating." Takai recalls that in the last stages of development, when he was finally able to try a playable version, he was surprised "by the graphics and the depth of the story." He also acknowledges that he enjoyed the game as a player.

“It's been 22 years since then and now I participate in Final Fantasy VII Remake as a developer. Today I can experience an impact and a fun similar to that of the previous title ”, rivets.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will release its first episode on March 3, 2020, exclusively for PlayStation 4. Square Enix recently released a new trailer focused on the protagonist of the story, Cloud.
