Cyberpunk 2077 – German dubbing featured

CD Projekt has unveiled the German cast for 'Cyberpunk 2077', which will cast the three biggest roles in the game. Benjamin Völz in the role of Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) was already announced at the gamescom, for the female role of the main character V decided the Polish studio for Flavia Vinzens, while the male role of Björn Schalla is taken. Among others, Schalla is known from "Sons of Anarchy", as well as lending his voice to Seann William Scott and Casey Affleck – as well as directing the dialogue for "The Mandalorian."

"As a speaker, I know a lot of the story by nature, of course, I can neither reveal nor will. However, my role can best be described in just one word: "Grundgütiger!" – V is more complex than one might think at first glance, his shots challenge us all. The authors in the development studio are – and that's a compliment – absolutely crazy! "

Johnny Silverhand, played in Cyberpunk 2077 by Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, gets his well-known German voice with Benjamin Völz. Silverhand is the third main character in the game and accompanies V as a kind of digital ghost through Night City.

For CD PROJECT RED, localization is as important as the elaborate development of the game itself. Nine fully localized language versions are planned for launch, with a localization department monitoring the quality of each individual version. In addition, close cooperation with local partners is a priority. This results in a continuous improvement. So, due to discussions and feedback within the framework of gamescom, roles have been completely reorganized or adapted.

"We look forward to showing more of the localized versions in 2020 – and are very curious to see how our German language version reaches the players and players.", Explains Mikolaj Szwed, Senior Localization Producer at CD PROJEKT RED.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020.
