Geoff Keighley, producer and host of The Game Awards, makes it clear that the recent filtering of Resident Evil 3 has nothing to do with the gala.
The rugged filtration of the existence of Resident Evil 3 by the Japanese PS Store has caused many of the fans to have speculated about when the presentation will be, this time, official, of this expected remake. The vast majority of voices point to the next edition of The Game Awards 2019, something that Geoff Keighley, producer and presenter of the event, has absolutely denied.
In an AMA -ask me anything- in Reddit, Keighley said flatly that we will not see Resident Evil 3 Remake in this edition of The Game Awards. "There are no plans, and never have been, to do something related to Resident Evil 3 on the show," says Keighley. "Many of these leaks are wrong, and for now, in fact nothing of what we will teach in the event has leaked."
In case of being finally official, Resident Evil 3 does aim to be one of the two completely new games that Capcom will announce in the next edition of the Jump Festa 2019, which will be held on the 21st and 22nd of this month.
