Fortnite: Epic Games will make "a special announcement" at The Game Awards

Epic Games will make "a special announcement" of Fortnite Chapter 2 during The Game Awards, the prestigious video game gala that will be held on December 13.

Fortnite Chapter 2, the flagship of Epic Games (and is currently in Season 1 of its Battle Pass) is nominated in the categories "Best Ongoing Game" (best game in progress), "Best eSports Game" (best eSports game) and β€œBest Community Support” for The Game Awards 2019, which will be held on December 13. Taking advantage of their presence at the gala, Epic has dropped that they will make "a special announcement." We tell you everything we know:

Through a publication in its social media accounts, Epic Games has made public its intention to make "a special announcement" of Fortnite Battle Royale during The Game Awards 2019:

They have also added, through another additional publication, specific date and time for various Spanish-speaking countries:

Although we don't know exactly what that announcement may consist of, we can look to the past and see what was announced in previous editions of The Game Awards. For example, in 2018 the Block was presented, a location with a map name that was periodically updated with creations of the players in Creative Mode. Taking into account this precedent, on specialized websites in Fortnite such as FortniteIntel it is speculated, precisely, that a hypothetical Β«The Block 2.0Β» can be announced, an improved and updated version for the new map.

Another of the possibilities that are being considered is an announcement, as a preview, of Season 2 of the Battle Pass of Fortnite Chapter 2. Season 1 has extended until February of next 2020, something unprecedented in the Battle Royale of Epic Games, so we do not find it too far fetched to make such an announcement or the 2019 Christmas event in Fortnite.
