Final Fantasy VII Remake presents the story of Cloud in a new trailer

Square Enix production, which will go on sale on March 3 on PS4, has been shown at The Game Awards 2019.

Cloud Strife has had its moment in The Game Awards 2019, the awards gala in which news of the video games already announced have also been presented. Final Fantasy VII Remake has made an appearance with a trailer focused on the protagonist of the title. The character, a former soldier who arrives in Midgar to fight against the evil company Shinra, joins a resistance group, Avalanche, with the goal of ending the company's plans.

From that moment, he will embark on an adventure in which he will strengthen ties with characters such as Aeris, Tifa or Barrett. The new production of Square Enix is not limited to replicating the original video game, but adds a new narrative layer to reinforce the relationship between the characters. It is, therefore, a reimagining of the original that adds new mechanics and a combat system more focused on action, although the strategic component will not be lost.

Regarding Cloud, the scriptwriter, Katsushige Nojima, explained that the new Cloud does not look like the one we met in Advent Children, the sequel movie of the video game: “He is a fierce-looking young boy who looked at me through the screen with eyes aggressive ”

Exclusive for one year on PS4

Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but the title will not remain on Sony's console. At least, the cover indicates that the duration of the agreement between Square Enix and Sony Interactive Entertainment is one year, indicating that, after that time, the video game could be released on any other platform. Be that as it may, we are facing the first installment of a series of episodes that will have full game entity. However, the Japanese company has not yet revealed its roadmap in this regard, so it is unknown how many chapters will be composed.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will go on sale next March 3, 2020 on PS4.
