Xbox Series X steals the share button, other specs known

Playfront

Surprisingly, Microsoft unveiled its next-gen console Xbox Series X last night and at the same time revealed further facts about the hardware. A feature you have been doing it directly on PlayStation.

There is now a share button on the Xbox Series X controller that Sony originally introduced with the PS4 and which is one of the most successful features of this generation. It was therefore foreseeable that Microsoft will not be long asked to implement the same idea on their new Xbox – as with many things before.

More specs revealed

At the same time, some specs of the console have been revealed, which like the PS5 also uses native 4K gaming at 60fp and allows up to 120fps. Even 8K content will be possible with it, also a feature that has long been announced for the PS5. In this context, Microsoft is already talking about the "most powerful console" that will be available on the market. Overall, the performance of the Xbox Series X should be about twice the Xbox One X, but that's still unconfirmed.

Microsoft says about the rather unusual name of the console:

“The name Xbox is an expression of our long gaming history, the tireless passion of our team and our commitment to our fans and the future of gaming at Microsoft. This also shows our conviction that a game console should be suitable for this – for games. ”

This too is not new and was already the motto of PS4 – where games and players were in focus. All in all, the Xbox Series X currently still looks as if you are simply emulating earlier ideas, apart from the fact that the final specifications of the PS5 have not yet been determined and marketing slogans such as "most powerful console" may be a little early.
