The Fortnite Dark Voyager Sidekick can be earned for free by joining the Shattered live event with at least one teammate.
Steps to claim the sidekick
Start Fortnite and queue for the Shattered live‑event playlist. Invite one or more friends to your party, ready up, and complete the mission alongside them. Once the event ends, open your Locker – the Dark Voyager Sidekick and its matching pickaxe should appear.
When and how to participate
- Live‑event date: 5 June 2026, 7 PM ET (doors open at 6:20 PM ET).
- The showdown concludes Chapter 7 Season 2; servers shift to downtime immediately afterward.
- Solo players receive the Dark Voyager pickaxe automatically; the sidekick requires a squad of up to four members.
Post‑event rewards and next season
After servers resume, the items will be visible when you load into Chapter 7 Season 3 for the first time. In addition, participants can enter the Shattered stress‑test to collect a sizable burst of free experience points.
