The winners of the VII Edition of the PlayStation Awards announced

Sony gives Clid the Snail the award for Best Game of 2019, within the initiative to promote the Spanish industry, more winners.

Clid the Snail has been the game awarded in the VI Edition of the PlayStation Awards as the best title of the year. Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain celebrated the gala in which they bet on Spanish video games. The evening, led by the magician Jorge Luengo, witnessed other awards that were distributed throughout the ceremony among the 12 finalists. Among the personalities present were Liliana Laporte, general director of SIE Iberia, and Jorge Huguet, marketing director. Both were responsible for announcing the winner.

Clid the Snail is a production by Weird Beluga Studios that explores a fable that tells us about the feeling of not fitting. It is an action and adventure title in which the player will handle Clid, an anthropomorphic snail accompanied by his friend Belu, who is shaped like a firefly. From then on, we will face many dangers, so we will have to master combat techniques and control the arsenal of weapons.

The prize, in addition to the recognition, includes 10,000 euros in cash to finance the project, PlayStation 4 development kits and a space in the PlayStation Talents Games Camp for 10 months, in addition to a promotional campaign valued at 200,000 euros.

The other awards

The 12 finalists had the opportunity to compete in different categories. Some awards, such as narrative, were released in this edition. The prize for the Most Innovative Game was won by Guayota, from Tam Occlusion, an adventure of exploration and puzzles. To deliver the award, Giovanni Vailati Riboni, Category Manager of Z by HP and Víctor Ceruelo Pascual, CEO of Tangram Solutions, took the stage. It should be noted that both companies will provide the technological tools to PlayStation Talents in the coming years.

Shahid Ahmad, mentor of PlayStation Talents, presented the award for the Game with Best Narrative, which was taken by the inBreak studio for his game A Rising Bond, an adventure and survival title set in Eastern Europe, during the 50s. Best Art was won by Clid The Snail, while Andrea Latorre and Irene Espejo received the Dreams Special Award for Monster, their project in the Media Molecule video game. The prize awarded by the press went to the battle royale Blackstorm, of LostCriteria Studios.

One of the novelties of the sixth edition was the PlayStation Special Commitment Award, which advocates the transmission of values ​​to raise awareness, educate and transform society. The prize was won by Calathea Game Studio, which deals with Alzheimer's in Inner Ashes.
