TFT: all about patch 9.24b

Riot Games publishes the final patch of 2020, which introduces, above all, balance changes, although some notable novelty is also implemented.

TeamFight Tactics (or TFT) is updated with the last patch of the year, 9.24b. The Riot Games game will take the grapes with the usual balance changes. However, this version includes as a novelty the operation of the progression of 3-star units. According to the study, they will change the increase in life power and attack damage to an increase in power and ability. If you want to discover all the news, do not hesitate to read the patch notes, which we share below.

Star progression

The 3-star units have been a balance problem due to the rigid way they progress (double their life and attack damage). By eliminating that formula, we will be able to place that power in another place, as in a your abilities. We also made the progression of stars the same for units of 2 and 3 stars.

  • Increased life and attack damage of 3-star units from 2-star values: 2x ⇒ 1.8x
  • (For example, Ivern Life 600/1080/2160 ⇒ 600/1080/1944)

Balance

Infernal, electric and gloomy

We are happy with the changes to the infernal trait, but the effects of (6) and (9) units do not yet reach the level of power expected to be competitive, so we will increase them even more. We also spend a bit with the power level of the electrical feature, so we will reverse it (although the effect of 2 electrical units will continue above the figures of version 9.23). Finally, we are satisfied with the results of the bleak feature, but it is very easy to make many compositions with the effect of (3) shady units, so we will reduce their power.

  • Additional damage of (3) gloomy: 70% ⇒ 60%
  • Electrical damage: 100/300/500 ⇒ 80/250/500
  • Hells Damage: 70% / 120% / 180% ⇒ 70% / 140% / 210%

Killers

The update of Spectral Dancer increased the power level of the murderers. This was planned, but it has generated a lack of options to counteract them due to their movement pattern. That is why we will greatly reduce the power of murderers. They are the best in constant damage and have direct access to the back line, which is somewhat excessive.

  • (3) killers: 75% critical hit damage / 10% Critical Hit Chance ⇒ 50% critical hit damage and 10% Critical Hit Chance
  • Nocturne ability healing: 40% / 60% / 80% ⇒ 40% / 45% / 50%
  • Zed attack damage: 80 ⇒ 70
  • Zed Armor: 30 ⇒ 25
  • Balance of the new

Senna and Amumu are very close to schedule and only need certain small adjustments.

  • Additional magic damage from Senna's ability: 25/45/75 ⇒ 15/30/55
  • Initial / total Amumu mana: 50/150 ⇒ 50/125
  • Amumu skill range: 2/3/4 ⇒ 3/3/3

Hunters

We were conservative with hunter improvements for version 9.24, as we were worried about exceeding ourselves. We notice a low level in the use of hunters, but in general the champions are still very weak, especially those of level 4, so we will increase their power.

  • Ashe ability attack damage (per arrow): 25% / 30% / 35% ⇒ 30% / 35% / 40%
  • Twitch attack damage: 60 ⇒ 65
  • Initial / Total Twitch Mana: 0/90 ⇒ 0/70

General changes

We will modify the cost, power of traits and the general utility of some champions with a lot of power. Zyra's ability is very strong for a level 1 unit. Rek’sai has slightly high statistics and also a very powerful ability, so we will reduce the power of his basic statistics a bit. Finally, Brand's ability inflicts the correct damage, but it takes a long time to launch.

  • Zyra ability damage: 70/80/90 ⇒ 55/65/75
  • Rek’sai attack damage: 65 ⇒ 60
  • Initial / Total Brand Mana: 0/90 ⇒ 0/80

Silence and Breaking

We notice a great increase in the use of Silence and Break-up, which generates a lot of the effect of “ I can not do anything '' that does not seem ideal, so we will reduce their activation rates.

  • Probability of Silence activation: 33% ⇒ 25%
  • Probability of activation of Breaks: 33% ⇒ 25%
