The videogame page within the institution that qualifies videogames by age in the United States offers new brushstrokes of information.

The organ that classifies videogames by age in North America, the ESRB, has already published the Final Fantasy VII Remake file. He has described it as a Teen game, although in the description he points out that it has content related to alcohol, violence, tobacco, suggestive themes and insults. The ESRB describes in great detail some elements that the game will introduce.

So, they say that the “cinematic scenes also include moments of violence: characters pierced by swords (off camera); a man shot repeatedly while on a ladder. ” In addition, they point out, "some female characters wear suggestive costumes," for example, with large necklines. "In a sequence, a man is shown looking at women's bodies while making suggestive movements with his hand and hip."

According to the agency, "the game contains alcohol." Describe a scene in which a character asks for something “strong and bitter,” which he then drinks while the player watches. In another sequence, another character smokes. Words like "shit", "bastard" or "asshole" appear in the dialogue. The Square Enix RPG takes us through a city consumed by the ambition of a gigantic company, Shinra, so the tone is dark from the first moment.

The first episode, very soon

Final Fantasty VII Remake, whose first episode will be released on March 3, 2020 on PS4, will cover the entire part of Midgar. That means that this will be only a first approach to the world of the seventh installment. Square Enix has not disclosed what its plans are with respect to the future, beyond confirming that these portions will have full play entity.

The Japanese company reported that it is already working on the second installment of the remake, although it did not give any clues about possible dates. All they have commented is that their development will not be delayed for so long.
