The Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is leaked on the PS Store

The remake of Final Fantasy VII and Patapon 2 Remastered have been listed among the latest digital news of PS4, launch imminent?

The GamStat portal, which reliably and regularly publishes all the news that is uploaded to the PlayStation Network servers, has surprised us for Christmas with its latest update. The demo of Final Fantasy VII Remake for America, Asia, Europe and Japan is listed. Although Square Enix has not yet ruled on the matter and the demo logo has already been removed, everything indicates that someone has chamfered the news to the company. The return of Cloud, Aeris and Tifa is scheduled for March 3, 2020, but if the leak is completed, it is very likely that anyone can try it and get out of doubt much sooner. GamStat is the same page that brought forward, for example, the first images of Resident Evil 3 Remake, and it must be remembered that although the demos have gone at least this generation, in Japanese productions they are still more than usual. In this 2019 we have had those of Project Sakura Wars, Dragon Quest XI, Samurai Shodown or Resident Evil 2 Remake, among many others.

The first hypotheses about what this demo could cover indicate that it may be the same as those who were able to try the E3 2019 attendees. It lasted twenty minutes and gave access to the first mission of the game. A walk with Cloud and Barret through the Mako reactor, fighting against Shinra soldiers and facing the Scorpion Guardian chief. Enough to test the new real-time combat system and all playable remake news. The last ones we have known have to do with the invocations (don't miss the new aspect of Shiva) and with the so-called "classic mode". This makes the pace of the game change, that Cloud moves automatically and that we only have to worry about choosing the attacks and magic we want to launch. An option for fans of the original that approaches the turn-based fighting of that one and that seems to settle the controversy around the changes.

Patapon 2 Remastered, the other impending surprise

The Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is not the only surprise the PlayStation Store has left us in its latest update. The remastering of Patapon 2 has also appeared, which was announced in December 2017 and had remained in limbo since then. The legendary musical game of Japan Studio, which came out in 2008 for PSP, seems to have its jump to 4K around the corner. The first installment of the saga has been available in the PS4 store since August 2017 and this Christmas you can find it at 14.99 euros. At this rate (and never better), we don't even want to imagine when a hypothetical Patapon 3 Remastered could arrive. In any case, it is a shame that it did not come a little earlier to allow us to change the carols for a good session of Pon, Pon, Pata, Pon.
