Elliot Sadler is back on the national NASCAR scene, set to pilot the No. 25 Ram 1500 in the Craftsman Truck Series at Richmond Raceway on August 14.
The 51‑year‑old former Cup star joins Kaulig Racing’s fresh Ram Truck lineup, a move that brings the “free‑agent” truck’s storied past full circle after Sadler’s first Truck appearance in 2011.
“It will be fun getting back into a truck—if I can still remember how to drive one,” Sadler said, highlighting Richmond’s special place in his career and thanking Ram and Kaulig for the opportunity.
During his Truck tenure, Sadler collected 20 starts, one win at Pocono in 2010, and spent fifteen years without racing in the series.
In the Cup and X‑Series, he amassed nearly 400 starts and 13 victories, never clinching an overall title but finishing runner‑up in four seasons. His cup wins include Bristol 2001, Texas 2004, and Fontana 2004.
Sadler’s most recent national tour was with Kaulig in 2019, where he delivered a top‑ten finish for the team, cementing a personal and professional bond that dates back to their South Boston Speedway roots.
