Layne Riggs clinched a dominant victory at IRP, leading 198 of 200 laps and securing his 10th career win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Unmatched Performance on the Home Track
Riggs, back‑to‑back champion at IRP, stormed the field from pole, lapping the field to 15th by the end of Stage 1. During the first two caution‑free stages, he collected every competitor, never being challenged for the lead.
His teammate, Chandler Smith, wrestled with Connor Mosack over the runner‑up battle as Riggs trapped the rest of the field behind him.
Mid‑Race Turmoil and Strategy Shifts
With 63 laps remaining, a six‑car incident dropped Daniel Hemric and Landen Lewis, the latter’s truck catching fire as the field rolled to a red flag. While the cars cleared, Kaden Honeycutt gambled on fresh tires, but Mosack closed to within two seconds without threatening the front runners.
Grant Enfinger’s truck blew up in front of Riggs, yet NASCAR kept the race green, allowing Riggs to coast to victory.

“It was a statement win,” Riggs remarked. “I ran at cruise control for much of the race. The spotter, Josh, kept me honest through traffic. When I spun on the restart, the crew behind prevented a wreck.” He added, noting that although he focused on the race, he was “not sure where Chandler finished.” Nonetheless, he credited all crew members for maintaining lane discipline when his tires spun.
