Avengers: Age of Ultron Mode Set to Debut in Path to Doomsday
A new PvE adventure, Avengers: Age of Ultron, will launch on July 30 2026 at 9 AM UTC within Marvel Rivals’ Path to Doomsday event. NetEase Games announced the date after releasing a second trailer that showcases actual gameplay rather than only a cinematic teaser.
Hero Roster, Kit Adjustments, and Hawkeye’s Absence
The mode invites players to pick Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hulk, or Scarlet Witch. Each character receives a slightly reworked kit, with increased health to withstand waves of Sentry robots. Hawkeye, although a key figure in the series, is omitted from the playable list.
Unlike the previous Avengers PvP mode, which allowed the villain Loki to be selected, the new PvE emphasis means Ultron himself is not playable. Players will instead battle Ultron’s forces, facing off against the advanced Sentry bots that flood the maps.
Gameplay Parallels, Cinematic Storyline, and Release Details
The structure mirrors the recently extended Blood Hunt mode, offering story-driven cinematics and dialogue similar to the original Marvel narrative. Players will coordinate to defend Avengers Tower while Ultron infects F.R.I.D.A.Y. in a dark frequency override scenario.
The release of Avengers: Age of Ultron on July 30 2026 guarantees fresh opportunities for crafting multiple builds and tackling the relentless robot onslaught. As the event commences, players can decide which hero’s power set will best counter Ultron’s deadly army. Which avatar will you assemble next?
