Epic Games Store: Hyper Light Drifter, eighth free game, now available

The Fortnite creators' store continues with the Christmas gifts and offers us a title more than the twelve that it is planned to give away.

For 24 hours, neither more nor less. That is the time that Hyper Light Drifter will remain as a free game in the Epic Games Store, which is now available. The Fortnite company has been giving videogames for more than a week, and will offer up to 12 different products on a daily basis. As the calendar progresses, we reach the eighth free title. As in the case of Celeste, this production was previously given in the Epic Games store. However, for all those who did not have the opportunity to redeem it, they will now have the possibility to add it permanently to their library.

Hyper Light Drifter, which received an 8.5 in the FreeGameTips Reviews, is an action and role video game that is inspired by video games as diverse as Diablo or The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The game has been designed with a pixel art style and offers us a huge world to explore, naturally with many dangers and areas to discover.

Which one is next?

The work will be available until December 28 at 5:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time), date on which it will be replaced by the following video game. The icon, that is, the clue we have about the next title is what looks like a helmet with horns of the Vikings, which has a skull on top. It should be noted that one of the most recent productions that Epic Games Store gave is Jotum: Valhalla Edition, a title casually set in Viking mythology. Is it the same game? We will find out in a few hours.

Epic Games Store has a firm commitment to free titles. As soon as they began their journey, in December 2018, they revealed that they would offer two free video games monthly, although they subsequently increased it to four a month. Meanwhile, the store is looking for temporary exclusives to value its platform for the future.
