A new series of raids, with Magikarp as the protagonist, increases the chances of getting his shiny version in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
The new event of Pokémon Sword and Shield will allow us to find a greater number of Magikarp in the Dinamax Raids of the Wild Area of the game. Until January 3, 2020 we can increase our chances of getting a shiny Magikarp and getting nuggets as a reward in the raids in which we face this Pokémon that evolves into Gyarados. Here are some tips as long as you can get a special Magikarp.
Get us a Magikarp variocolor in raids
As you know, the shiny or variocolor Pokémon are a special type of Pokémon that we can find in the Pokémon saga and therefore also in Sword and Shield. The probability of meeting one of them is very low, but there are still some tricks in order to increase the chances that shiny Pokémon will appear. One of them is to complete the Pokédex and get the iris amulet, which increases the chances of getting a colorful color. As for the raids, we can access them in different points of the wild area where we see a beam of pink light that goes to the sky. We can also use a Piece of Desire in order to activate one of these clusters of crystals and initiate a random incursion. Until January 3 we will have a greater number of chances of meeting a Magikarp in these raids, so if we have any extra luck one of them will be shiny. On the other hand, we remember that still (until January 5) we can get a Snorlax Gigamax using this method.
