The arrival of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in 2020 propitiates the estimates of expert analysts before an eventual Switch with more power.
The year 2020 will be a new generation console course. It won't be until Christmas when Sony and Microsoft begin to show up on store shelves with their respective bets, PlayStation 5 and Xbox (with Xbox Series X as the first confirmed model). Nintendo Switch will then live its fourth end of the year, which invites expert analysts to think of a possible “Nintendo Switch Pro”.
Explanation and arguments: why a “Pro” version of Nintendo Switch
The traditional GamesIndustry meeting with international market analysts has been the place chosen by Serkan Toto, from Kantan Games, to launch his forecast, his personal bet for 2020, explanation included. The reasoning of Serkan Toto – who made almost all of his 2019 estimates accurate – is that Nintendo will do the same: an intergenerational model with better hardware, ability to offer 4K content and an even larger cartridge size, all with components of higher gross power; at a price of $ 399.

The bets of Serkan Toto, who expects to see more Microsoft titles on Nintendo Switch, do not end there, although he is skeptical of a possible arrival of the streaming video game service through the cloud of Redmond's firm, Project xCloud, at least in 2020
Doubts about 2020; others believe it will be in 2021 or later
The rest of the participants, such as Mat Piscatella (NPD Group), Jesse Divnich (Interpret), Stephanie Llamas (Superdata) or Piers Harding-Rolls (IHS Markit Technology), have not mentioned a possible Nintendo Switch Pro. also analyst Daniel Ahmad, of Niko Partners, does not agree with Toto about a possible Nintendo Switch with 4K support in 2020, although in 2021 or later. "I think Nintendo will be up until the beginning of 2021 or beyond before launching new powered hardware within the Nintendo Switch family."
