Jorge Martín claimed pole at the Austrian Grand Prix, setting the fastest lap in qualifying and positioning himself ahead of title rival Marc Marquez.

Behind Martín’s pole, Marc Marquez holds second place, followed by Pedro Acosta in third, eager to correct his sprint misstep. Marco Bezzecchi starts fourth, with Ai Ogura slotting in fifth. Alex Marquez rounds out the second row in sixth place. Francesco Bagnaia improves to seventh, trailed by Fabio di Giannantonio and Fabio Quartararo in eighth and ninth. Johann Zarco completes the top ten on the grid.
Riders Out for Physical Reasons
Maverick Vinales will again miss the event, still sidelined by the crash he suffered at the German GP. Pol Espargaro substitutes for him at Tech3. Joan Mir also will not feature, with medical tests uncovering altered blood parameters. Honda’s test rider Takaaki Nakagami will fill the vacancy.
