Lewis Hamilton was called before the FIA stewards after allegedly blocking Liam Lawson during second‑practice at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

While racing on the final sector of Baku’s last‑lap, Hamilton, driving the McLaren‑MCL30, was harvesting energy and pulled alongside Lawson’s Racing Bulls mclan on a hot lap. Lawson had to brake sharply at the penultimate corner, raising alarms about safety.
“Oh my god, that is so **** dangerous,” Lawson told team radio, to which engineer Alexandre Iliopoulos replied simply, “Yeah, agree.”
Steward call‑out
At 5:30 pm local time both drivers appeared before the stewards. The FIA cited a potential breach of Article B4.1.1 of the regulations for impeding in Turn 19 at 16:33 minutes.
If a penalty is applied, a grid drop for the world champion is the most likely outcome.
