Press and hold the D‑pad down key to slip into The Gap, a surreal zone linked to Faden’s fractured mind.
From the subterranean sprawl, approach the vertical tower that hosts the upgrade consoles.
Holding L1/LB activates the interface where you can buy new forms using Living Shards.

Collecting Living Shards and Resources
Gather Living Shards, Corrupted Elements, and Source by exploring Manhattan, completing quests, and defeating Resonant enemies.
Confirm you have enough inventory before upgrading; otherwise, you’ll need to keep exploring.
Progressing the Aberrant Build
Return to The Gap, select the desired node—Cleave, Strike, or Glaive—and view the upgrade nodes.
Press Unlock beside each node and supply the specified mix of shards and elements.
Reset Points let you revert changes and reallocate upgrades.
