Polyphony Digital will unleash Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV free update in two parts, with the first drop landing on October 15, 2026.
Release Schedule and Cost
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV will arrive in two installments. Part 1, available on both PS4 and PS5 from retail stores, launches on October 15 2026 at no cost. Part 2, timed to coincide with the Gran Turismo World Series Finals in Tokyo, will release on December 5–6 2026.
New Cars for October
The October release introduces six new titles and shifts one of the month‑long additions. You’ll find the 1986 Citroën 2CV Charleston, the 1994 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, the 1987 Honda Civic Si Group A, the 2023 Honda Stepwgn Spada, the Mazda RX‑Vision GT3 EVO, and the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo. The Ferrari will replace the BMW M5 E60, which moves to the December update.
Feature pieces highlight the new Xiaomi, the first Chinese car engineered specifically for a Gran Turismo game, and its dedicated showcase challenges.
October Track and Tools
Japanese Sportsland SUGO, a 13‑corner circuit that currently hosts Super GT and Super Formula, will feature in the October pack. The track measures 3.586 km, includes a 704‑m main straight, and offers nearly 70 m of elevation change.
The update also streamlines garage navigation: Vintage cars that can’t be sold new move to a dedicated section; Car Concierge allows on‑demand ordering of Used and Legend Car models; Experience shifts focus to brand‑specific challenges; and Viewer offers a new photo‑friendly environment.
December Additions and Features
Part 2 reintroduces the fictional Autumn Ring, last seen in the series more than a decade ago, complete with its classic and expanded configurations.
New gameplay modes appear: Family Mode, a Shuffle Race that randomises cars; an Online Drift Trial; the evolved AI driver GT Sophy; and a tougher, brand‑new difficulty tier called Power Pack.
At the end of December, Gran Turismo 7 will celebrate 30 years of racing history with its most sizable free update yet.
