Arc Raiders Frozen Trail Update Dash
Arc Raiders dropped its Frozen Trail update yesterday, unlocking a brand‑new Pendola Pass map, new enemies, weapons, skill structures, and a reorganised reward progression system.
New Content Landscape
The update expands the world with Pendola Pass, complete with two atmospheric battle conditions: Frigate and Redirection. Players will encounter fresh hostile types: Bully, Skulker, and Hydra. Two fresh firearms arrive: the high‑rate Bantam and the precision Stiletto, along with amplified weapon upgrades.
Arms grow in variety with Weapon Stencils. Fourteen stencils are now available: five are locked behind the Frozen Trail Premium Pass, one belongs to the Collector DLC, and eight appear in Topside. Stencils let players brand new colours on compatible gear, but let enemies pick them up as normal loot.
The outpost booth increases character depth. Completing the Research Topside Living Conditions project and the camera shoot mission unlocks a new outpost, a dedicated research station, and expandable modules. A total of 100 furniture designs – nine surname‑exclusive, one in DLC, and 73 Topside originals – can decorate the structure.
Progression and Rewards Restructured
The classic Raider Decks migrated to the new Legacy Pass while a brand‑new Frozen Trail Pass offers 60 levels for free and premium players. The previous in‑game credit system was replaced with Reward Points that flow into the selected pass. Temporary “Feats” now split into Easy (15 points), Medium (25 points), and Hard (50 points), each incrementing weekly milestone progress.
Weekly milestones are capped at 12 main progress points, awarding 250 Reward Points per session. You’ll earn extra points by clearing quests, with Experience Added to XP rewards for quest completion, rendering the experience more visible to players.
Game Mechanics and UI Overhaul
Skill tree revamp removed the triple‑node set at the branches’ ends, now permitting binary decision points at the center of each branch. Two branching nodes at the edges let players pick two out of three skills, which reset upon skill tree re‑allocation.
Combat receives several optimization steps. Explosives now deliver 50% more damage to armour plates and 30% less to delicate components, refining the explosive damage curve. Sprinter‑climb ladders were disallowed when exhausted and Lavalagers now produce a short vertical scramble animation on steep slopes.
Map layout receives improved textures and doorblocker alignment. The dynamic loot zone system on Pendola Pass leads to varied loot values each raid, while Hamra Tides’ loot values grow by 15%. Customisation threads now sync across clients, fixing the ghost‑outfit glitch.
UI refinements include a comprehensive quest list sorter, a revamped end‑of‑round screen showing milestone progress, and smoother mouse input for the emotes wheel. The camera can now open while downed, and the asset gain screen shows proper unlock alerts for the Snap Hook and other recipes.
Performance, Audio, and Cosmetic Polishing
Memory consumption for enemies has been reduced, easing load‑time spikes. Audio occlusion for wall obstacles has been smoothed, adding new metal groan ranges and a fresh snap‑hook’s tension sounds. Celeste’s model received an appearance overhaul and every backpack now toggles an emissive light source for stealth.
The Arcedrone interior was corrected; high‑tier loot moves from armour to the leg segments for Queen and Matriarch models. Mapped upsweep for salvaged ammunition and cannon upgrades now aligns with their spawn points. All gameplay auditory cues – including the skill‑tree unlock and the HUD squeal – are now distinct and polished.
Bug Fixes, Known Issues and Patch Bump
Duplicate item accounts are now audited; steals from duplication are removed. Snap Hook range lowered to 18m, durability consumption increased, and power cost raised to 60 to restrict repeated bursts. The Tether Launcher repair feature remains unavailable until the next release.
Players who occasionally spawn invisibly into lobbies face a reset that relocates them to Speranza with their full loadout intact. Hydra now pulls weapon range scanning correctly, preventing wall‑through shots that previously caused unintended eliminations.
Known picture‑related glitches in the outpost structure, camera priorities, and module placement are addressed serially, with owners of the Frozen Trail Pass notified earlier with in‑game prompts. A fixed list of 15 small terrain artefacts and a standardised weight balance for loadouts across menus should reduce past collision inconsistencies.
Community Engagement Through Twitch Drops
Players can earn the Oxygen Respirator by logging 60 minutes of watch time and a Mailbox after 120 minutes, available between October 8 and November 4, 2026. These drops depend on linked Twitch streamers playing Arc Raiders.
