Cadillac has secured Ricky Taylor and Antonio Félix da Costa to take over from Sebastien Bourdais and Alex Lynn in the factory Jota squad for the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship.
New Driver Lineup for 2027
Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Norman Nato and Will Stevens will remain in the squad, while the specific pairings for Cadillac’s two V‑Series.R LMDh prototypes have not yet been disclosed. Jota chief Sam Hignett announced the change with visible enthusiasm, noting that Antonio and Ricky “bring a wealth of experience, strong teamwork and a seamless fit with the existing group.”
Ricky Taylor – LMDh and IMSA Credentials
Taylor, the 37‑year‑old son of WTR founder William Taylor, has already raced Cadillac’s LMDh‑class prototype for his father’s IMSA program since the start of 2025. His debut as a substitute for Alex Lynn at the Lone Star Le Mans in September marked the beginning of a full‑season WEC campaign. “I’m honoured to join Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for 2027,” Taylor said in a statement. “Competing full‑time in a FIA World Championship is a first for me, and I look forward to re‑uniting with the crew that has earned podiums worldwide.”
Antonio Félix da Costa – Returning Home
After a hiatus from hypercar racing in 2024‑2025 and a one‑year stint with Alpine in 2026, da Costa re‑signed with Jota, the team that crowned him LMP2 champion in 2022 before stepping up to hypercar with a customer Porsche 963. “Coming back to JOTA feels like a homecoming,” he explained. “The team has a rich history of victories, and I’m eager to help fight for wins and championships in the 2027 season.” His 2026 season also sees him competing for Jaguar in Formula E.
Departures and New Opportunities
Securing McLaren’s new hypercar line, Alex Lynn will join the British outfit for the remainder of the 2026 year, after returning from an injury layoff at the Barcelona 6 Hours. Brendan Bourdais, who has struggled to secure a definitive Le Mans victory, will shortly depart the manufacturer after failing to agree on new terms. McLaren team principal James Barclay welcomed Lynn, describing him as a “proven winner with extensive experience at the highest level of endurance racing.”
With a combination of seasoned veterans and experienced newcomers, Jota steps into the 2027 WEC season prepared to compete for top honors on the global stage.
