For the Free-2-Play Shooter ‘Warface’ by Cyrtek and my.com you are considering a PS5 and Xbox Series X implementation, even if you don’t want to make a specific announcement at this time. First you look at the new hardware and then consider further steps.
In an interview with Warface franchise lead Ivan Pabiarzhyn, he said that nothing can be confirmed at the moment, but you definitely take a look at the new hardware and what it can do.
“We have already started communicating with the platforms about the new hardware. For obvious reasons, however, we cannot announce anything specific at this point. The engine that powers Warface (CryEngine) has been heavily modified by our team to ensure smooth operation on a variety of systems. (…) With this in mind, we're definitely looking at what next-generation consoles can offer us, especially with regard to improved performance and graphical fidelity. ”
So it remains to be seen how the whole thing develops in the end. Crytek is definitely one of the developers who always want to be at the forefront of new technologies.
Warface is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and the PC.
