Overwatch celebrates the new Chinese year with its first event in 2020

Blizzard celebrates the "year of the rat" with the first event for Overwatch in 2020. New skins, a new game mode and more wait until February 5.

As is tradition since its arrival on the market, Blizzard celebrates the Chinese new year through Overwatch, its reference shooter. The “year of the rat” has made the 2020 event focus, in part, on such a peculiar animal.

From January 16 to February 5, all Overwatch players can enjoy exclusive activities created for the occasion, such as the new game mode: CFT Blitz. This modified version of Capture the Flag makes the capture zones closer than ever when the extension counter appears. The flags requirement has also been doubled to win from 3 to 6.

Weekly events return along with limited rewards. By winning nine games we will receive skins for Doomfist, Winston and Wrecking Ball. On the other hand, within the exclusive loot boxes we will find four legendary clothing created for the heroes Brigitte, Sombra (who heads this news), Moira and Lucio. Beyond them we can expect new icons, intros, gestures and graffiti. Rotation will also include those of past editions.

Valve clarifies that he does not work in Left 4 Dead 3

From a giant like Blizzard we pass to Valve, who is again in the forefront of current affairs and not precisely because of his latest commitment to virtual reality. To the misfortune of its community, the company has confirmed that they are not working on a new installment of Left 4 Dead. In this way they explain it:

"We've seen these rumors lately, and it's true that a few years ago we explored opportunities to bring Left 4 Dead back," they recognize in Valve. "But we are currently not working on anything related to Left 4 Dead, or anything related. Unfortunately, there are people creating misinformation to keep the community busy, but a new Left 4 Dead is not something we are working on."
