Warner Bros. is working on an animated movie called 'Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge', which will still be broadcast in 2020.
According to the Hollywood reporter, other well-known Mortal Kombat faces will appear alongside Scorpion, including Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. Among others, Joel McHale and Sonya Blade could be won for the voice cast. Performances by Goro, Jax Briggs, Kano, Kitana, Lui Kang, Quan Chi, Raiden, Shang Tsung and Sub-Zero are also mentioned. More will be revealed later.
Ethan Spaulding (Batman: Assault on Arkham) was won as the director, while the script was written by Jeremy Adams (Supernatural). Creative support is also available from Netherrealm Studio Boss and series creator Ed Boon.
In addition to the animated movie, there is also a live action film in progress that will start in 2021.
