Death Stranding: Hideo Kojima reveals several pages of the official art book

The Japanese creative has just received a sample version of the volume, which will be published in Spain by Norma Editorial.

November may have been the date chosen by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions for the launch of Death Stranding, the most recent work by the Japanese media developer. However, the official art book is not yet in stores. It was Hideo Kojima himself who has presented what the volume looks like, since he has published several snapshots in his official Twitter account.

The book, published by Titan Books, will go on sale in Spain on January 28, edited by Norma Comics. According to the official website of the publisher, “Detha Stranding's art includes hundreds of conceptual illustrations of the characters, the team, the locations and the creatures that appear in the video game, as well as initial and also discarded ideas, in addition to graphic material created by acclaimed artist Yoji Shinkawa. ” Its recommended price will be 39.95 euros, as can be seen on the website.

The philosophy behind the design of Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima will be one of the developers who will participate in the GDC 2020 (Game Developers Conference). The creative Japanese will attend a talk in which he will talk about the design philosophy he has established when creating Death Stranding. The title, a temporary exclusive to PlayStation 4, was outlined with connections as a central element. In the same way that the world needs to reconnect to keep the territory safe, players can interact thanks to its multiplayer functions. That way, building structures can help other users complete the adventure.

Sam Porter Bridges is not just any message. He travels through a devastated United States with packages on his back, but his task, which at first sight can be minimal, is necessary to reconnect each of the places. The Government, about to decompose, hangs by a thread. Only with the help of Sam can he survive the debacle that looms over society.

Death Stranding is available on PS4 since last November. Its launch on PC still has no specific date, although its publisher, 505 Games, confirmed that the title will be marketed in early summer 2020.
