Fortnite is updated and allows to activate the 120 fps in the 2018 Ipad Pro

The Epic Games game is optimized for the platform and offers the possibility to take advantage of the ProMotion screen of the device.

It is now possible to enjoy a framerate of 120 images per second in the Ipad Pro (2018) version of Fortnite. As Wccftech points out, Epic Games has updated its battle royale and offers players the opportunity to take full advantage of the device's capabilities. The update also includes an improvement in the controls, since new functionalities are added, nothing more and nothing less than the buttons equivalent to L3 and R3. This will be available for all iOS compatible controllers (including Dual Shock 4 and Xbox One controller).

To activate the 120 fps mode, simply enter the configuration menu and look for the corresponding section. It should be noted, however, that playing with that framerate reduces the graphic quality, so it automatically drops from High to Intermediate. That decision has been made to stabilize performance and prevent battery life from being reduced.

On consoles, limited to 60 fps

Ipad Pro and PC are the only devices that allow 120 fps to be played. In fact, no console version has implemented it at the moment, so it is locked at 60 fps. Presumably, with the premiere of the new generation, PS5 and Xbox Series X, Epic Games opens the doors to an improvement. We must not forget, however, the problems that the fact of playing against users who have a higher frame rate can generate, since it benefits them. In a competitive title, framerate is a differential element.

Fortnite is a free-to-play video game published on a good number of devices. In addition to PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, it is possible to download it on terminals with iOS or Android operating system. In the last hours, the production of Epic Games has returned to be news, although this time by the criticisms that Telecinco has spilled in the program presented by Emma GarcĂa.
