GTA VI – development & early release revealed by UK Video Games Tax Relief?

Playfront

It's actually an open secret that Rockstar is actively working on ‘GTA VI’ after the last offshoot appeared in 2013. Based on the usual release cycle of the GTA games, a new game should appear within the next two years.

That is really the case, is currently underpinned by the UK Video Games Tax Relief, which even allows the presumption of an early release. Thanks to the UK Video Games Tax Relief, British developers like Rockstar North can get certain tax breaks, which is what has happened again. The basis for this is that what you are working on is also “culturally British”, which includes Rockstar with her projects.

It also says that “a historic tax requirement has been filed that allows video game developers to apply for high subsidies for costly productions with cultural ties to the UK.” GTA VI is expected to be an expensive project as usual, and according to TaxWatch UK the current tax return is proof that this is directly related to GTA VI.

Either way, news about GTA VI can be expected in the coming months, which will most likely appear for the next generation or as a cross-gen title. Rockstar himself has recently indicated that a PS5 reveal will be made very soon.
