This is the cinematic opening of Granblue Fantasy: Versus, by Arc System Works

The new Cygames and Arc System Works will be put up for sale with the aim of moving the universe into a two-dimensional fighting game.

Arc System Works has presented the initial cinematic scene of Granblue Fantasy: Versus, its new project in the traditional classical fighting genre after the unquestionable success of Dragon Ball FighterZ. Now that its launch is falling in Japan for PlayStation 4, its opening serves to open its mouth.

No exact date in Europe: first quarter of 2020

XSEED Games, editor of the title in the West, has issued a statement highlighting the main features of the game. To begin, they make it clear that the development team is the same as the one in charge of materializing the most recent deliveries of the BlazBlue, Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ sagas, all with the aim of making “a combat system adapted and accessible to both newcomers and veterans. ”

The total number of fighters is not specified, but there will be recognizable personalities of the license in a world designed in 2.5D along with melodies recreated for the occasion; with the participation of Stelle Magna to give the differentiating touch to the soundtrack. In addition, Hideo Minaba is directing the artistic work, a veteran of the industry known for his work in the Final Fantasy saga.

Recently we learned that there will be at least two season passes planned on the calendar.
