Only a few more days before Great Britain officially leaves the European Union, making it the first country ever, since such a case was never originally planned. This important event will also be a topic in ‘Watch Dogs Legion’, which is being addressed today in a very special interview.
Together with BBC News and BBC Click, BBC reporter Marc Cieslak and creative director Clint Hocking talk about how to take up Brexit as part of the story of Watch Dogs Legion and implement it in the game. Both were completely digitized and beamed to the virtual Picadilly Circus.
Hocking comments:
“When we create films or books, it's the same as with video games. It is our responsibility to look at the things that are happening in the world and around us and to say something about them. (…) Things around us are constantly changing and we have to look at what is happening in the world every day and make decisions about what could be in our simulation. ”
You can see the complete interview in the following tweet. Watch Dogs Legion is currently under development for PS4 and PS5.
