Rumor: Resident Evil 8 is back on first-person view

Playfront

It is largely unclear how the development of 'Resident Evil 8' is currently. Recently there have been reports that production started in 2016, but has since been put on ice again.

Now the game has probably been pulled out again and the development should have started a few months ago. However, all previous information is no longer applicable, since it should be based on the original build. In the first attempt, the game was also allegedly run by someone who had some “strange ideas” for Resident Evil – probably one reason why they were never implemented.

First-person gameplay should be preserved

Further and current reports speak of Capcom wanting to hold onto the predecessor's first-person view with Resident Evil 8. The protagonist Ethan and Chris Redfield are also to have another appearance. There is also talk of werewolf-like zombies, of course real zombies, and a female appearance that is supposed to chase you through the city and through a castle. There should already have been play tests in 2019 to see which ideas you want to keep for Resident Evil 8 and which are discarded. To what extent this is true cannot currently be confirmed.

Capcom is currently working on several Resident Evil games, including the remake for Part 3, which will be released in April, and the multiplayer part ‘Resident Evil Resistance’. It may take some time before an official announcement by Resident Evil. Until then, the current information must be classified as purely speculative.
