Cuphead: enjoy the short stop-motion created by a fan

The title designed by Studio MDHR returns in a new format and with a completely unpublished, but unofficial story.

The twentieth-century Cuphead animation left no one indifferent. Nor to Davy Productions, the person behind an animated short based on the Studio MDHR game. According to Kotaku, the person in charge of this piece in stop-motion, who has spent four months working on it, fell in love with the crazy action platforms published by Xbox Game Studios. The creator has used toys from the McFarlane Toys factory to transfer his vision to reality. You can see the result on these lines.

This is a piece of just over two minutes that shows two of the main characters, Cuphead and Mugman himself, who make a series of bad decisions at Devil's Casino, as expected. And as the devil does not take bets lightly, a good one is immediately put together. Both protagonists draw their weapons and a hard battle for survival begins. Because yes, one of the main features of the game is its difficulty.

Animation series on the way

The official series is in the hands of Netflix. The video on demand platform will work alongside King Features Syndycate (Hearst Entertainmen) to produce The Cuphead Show! The idea is to offer an animated comedy that delves into the universe of the game. As in the video game, the role will fall on Cuphead and his brother Mugman, who after closing an agreement with the devil will have to fight to survive. In the executive production will be the creators of the title Chad and Jared Moldehauer, along with C.J. Kettler

Despite its independent game status and having been sponsored by Microsoft, Cuphead has reaped good sales. The latest figures speak of more than five million units sold since its launch in 2017. The work, which was initially marketed on Xbox One and PC, was also published on Nintendo Switch
