Nintendo still does not approximate a launch window for these titles, which will arrive on Nintendo Switch soon. Have to wait.

Nintendo has published this January 30 the result of its last meeting with shareholders (FY3 / 2020), a document in which they take stock of the last quarter ended on December 31 and where they also analyze what is to come their product catalog to medium term. Regarding Nintendo Switch, which already has more than 52 million units sold, the 2020 calendar still leaves no room for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4.

Those that are three of the most anticipated titles in the catalog ask for one thing: patience. A “TBA” date (to be determined) is what accompanies the breakdown of titles in its lineup, where there are others such as Bravely Default II or Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, with “2020” at its side.

This does not mean that the three titles cited will not be released in 2020; Nor that they will. Nintendo will communicate more information about them soon.

What is the last thing we know about each of them?

If we stick only to information, Nintendo has been very discreet when it comes to mentioning any of these games away from fairs like the E3. In fact, the last one we have a little more details is Bayonetta 3 and it was not from a direct source of Nintendo but from Hideki Kamiya, father of the work.

The issue of Famitsu published in early January included a small comment from the director of the game where he commented that "2020 will be in a busy year for PlatinumGames, so I will not say more." Regarding Bayonetta 3, he simply said that "development is progressing smoothly, so be patient and wait."

From the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which we don't even know if it will carry a “2” in its nomenclature, there is evidence that Monolith Soft. It is involved in development and they want to offer “new experiences” through that adventure. Eiji Aonuma, producer of the title, justified on this new installment that "a DLC was not enough". We also know that your world will be "a little darker."

Finally, Metroid Prime 4, whose development was restarted after several years in process, the game was lost on E3 2019 because they did not want to overshadow other titles in the lineup of exclusive Nintendo Switch titles at the angel fair; especially Luigi’s Mansion 3. “To be completely honest, in this E3 I just wanted people to pay attention to Luigi. If I mentioned something about Metroid Prime 4, people would have focused only on that, ”said Kensuke Tanabe, producer of both the mustache game and the return of Metroid from Retro Studios.

The American studio is in the active search for new employees for the workforce, including art director, product tester, art manager. In this chronicle we review everything we know and what not about the game.
