A camera hack confirms that the P.T. it's Norman Reedus

A renowned hacker discovers the secret behind the protagonist of P.T., confirming that, in effect, he is also the protagonist of Death Stranding.

Even four years after its amazing presentation at Gamescom 2015, P.T., the terrifying playable demo of what Silent Hills was going to be, continues to discover its secrets and unknowns. Some of them revolved around Lisa's character, but another, no less important, was about the protagonist himself. The suspicions – and the final teaser upon completing this demo – pointed to Norman Reedus, but it was something that was not fully confirmed … until today.

Renowned hacker Lance McDonald has managed to hack the PT camera, achieving a sharper vision when the playable teaser character looks in the bathroom mirror, and 100% confirming what was an open secret: the protagonist of the demo It is, in effect, Reedus himself. If we remember, this vision in the mirror was totally blurred during the game, making it impossible to glimpse the character's face.

"Normally you can't see his face because the mirror is covered in dirt with the specific objective of darkening it," McDonald said. "What I did is move the camera to a lower height, at approximately chest level, to get a view of one of the clean parts of the mirror." As we say, it is something that has been suspected since then, but no one had been able to confirm it as McDonald has done now.

Kojima, return to terror?

After launching Death Stranding, also starring Norman Reedus and with a role for Guillermo del Toro – who was going to collaborate in the development of Silent Hills -, Kojima has already dropped what will be his next project. It seems that the experience with P. T. seduced him because just a few weeks ago he confessed how he would make the game more terrifying so far. For this, he assured that the process would begin by soaking up horror movies, something he already did at the time for the creation of that teaser.
