Asobo Studios may be working on a sequel to their A Plague Tale adventure after their franchise debut this year was a big success.
As reported by the French website Xbox Squad, A Plague Tale 2 is officially announced next year and will be published sometime in 2022, probably on PlayStation 5. Upon request from Publisher Focus Home Interactive they did not want to confirm the message, but also not deny it and comments:
"Focus Home Interactive and Asobo are very proud of the critical and public response of A Plague Tale: Innocence and its sales. We have a solid number of awards and nominations, including the Best Narrative at The Game Awards. We want to continue our efforts to ensure that the game gets even more attention from the players, so we will continue to promote this title as it deserves.
"We also announced last year that we will continue to work with Asobo but never confirm whether or not there will be a sequel to A Plague Tale – and we will release more details on this title in due course."
