A Tale of Paper – Release confirmed this year

Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain will release the emotional adventure A Tale of Paper later this year as part of the PlayStation Talents Program.

A Tale of Paper answers the question of whether a dream can exceed its owner? The protagonist Line is no ordinary hero: First of all, Line is just a piece of paper that can be transformed into different forms such as frogs, paper planes, rockets or even birds. In this textless adventure, Line enables each of these forms to magically navigate through the real world of A Tale of Paper to reveal its secrets.

“The slow and deep gameplay of A Tale of Paper makes it special,” developer Open House Games explains. “We mix puzzles and platforms, but we also add excitement and details to the mix. It is also worth noting that this is not a 2D platform. The camera scrolls sideways, but players can move in any direction in this world. ”

Instead of power-ups, Line Origami will use to overcome every obstacle on its way, even some evil Roombas. Line must combine all of their skills to overcome each level, but each form allows Line to perform only one action. For example, as a frog, Line can jump higher, but not run or run.

“We wanted to convey Line’s fragility (and its potential to overcome obstacles) through this idea, combined with clever level design and some relentless enemies called Roombas,” explains the Open House Games.

A Tale of Paper will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in 2020.
