Animal Crossing: New Horizons | A fan recreates the fighters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The Nintendo fighting game character squad visits the islands thanks to the dedication of the follower, who has invested more than 400 hours.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not a title that has few fighters precisely. The work directed by Masahiro Sakurai already had a large template when it went on sale, back in December 2018. However, season passes through, other applicants have joined the battle. Now, a fan has recreated each and every one of them in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, another of Nintendo Switch’s greatest hits. And we already anticipated it: it was not a simple job.

In fact, as revealed by its author (DJ-Dez) on Reddit, moving the characters to the Animal Crossing islands has cost him hundreds of hours of hard work. “In the end I have succeeded!”, Published in the thread. “After more than 400 hours … all the characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have been transported to the world of Animal Crossing. Nintendo, this is my job application. ” Of course, Cinnamon is also present and very well recreated … because he was already a character in the Kyoto fighting title!

To carry out this work, DJ-Dez has used various tricks and has used the resources that the game itself provides (clothing, accessories, etc.). In addition, he has taken a photograph of each of the creations, which he has later unified into a choral image that you can visualize below these lines.

I finally did it! 400+ hours later … Every smash bros ultimate character transported into the animal crossing world! Nintendo, this is my job application 😂 from r / AnimalCrossing

Two commercial successes

Both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are two of the Nintendo Switch bestsellers. The first of these was recently commercialized, but its sales have not suffered due to the coronavirus. On the contrary, his first months in the market reflect a commercial success that has earned him to be in the Top 10 of the platform’s best sellers until March 2020.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, meanwhile, will receive a pack of 6 paid downloadable characters throughout this year, although there are no specific dates yet.
