An efficient Anime Squadron strategy hinges on unlocking and upgrading its three core perks: Maximum Yen, Yen Generation, and Health.
How Perks Shape Your Rounds
In each round, your base starts with a set amount of money and income. Perks permanently boost that base before the first shot is fired: a higher Maximum Yen makes expensive, high‑tier units available; a stronger Yen Generation speeds your money flow; and greater Health gives you additional hit points against enemy assaults.
Each perk upgrade must be purchased with gold, which you collect by redeeming official Anime Squadron codes or earning it in normal play.
Cost Structure and In‑Game Benefits
Maximum Yen: $500 for the first upgrade, +0.5 k Yen added. Every subsequent level costs an additional \$500 and adds another +0.5 k to your maximum balance.
Yen Generation: the first level requires $750 and grants +15 Yen / s. After that, costs rise in roughly $4.25 k increments per level, with each level adding another +15 Yen / s.
Health: the first upgrade costs $5,000 and yields +1 base stock. Further upgrades follow the same $5,000 step, each giving one extra unit of base durability.
For example, the first ten upgrades for Maximum Yen would consume 5 k gold (levels 1–10), while Yen Generation would demand 15 k gold across its five levels, and Health would require 15 k gold over the same number of levels.
How to Upgrade
1. Open the left‑hand menu and select the Perks tab.
2. Click the Upgrade button beside the perk you wish to improve. Your gold balances and the upgrade cost confirm the purchase. Once paid, the new stat applies automatically from the next round onwards.
Which Perk to Prioritize?
Maximum Yen is the best starting point. By raising your maximum currency, you can deploy premium units that dramatically improve survivability and damage output. After securing a healthy pool of Yen, invest in Yen Generation to smooth out income during fights, then reserve Health upgrades for late‑stage fortification.
Perk improvements carry over across all game modes, granting immediate benefits in Story, Raid, and other available scenarios.
