Apex Legends presents its first mission of Season 5, The Broken Ghost

Get the nine pieces of a strange artifact and discover new fragments of the history of the video game.

Broken Ghost is the first seasonal mission for Favor and Fortune, the weekly Apex Legends hunt. As confirmed by Electronic Arts in a press release, it will consist of locating the nine pieces of a strange artifact. All those who have the will to discover what the Wild Lands hide, will receive their well-deserved rewards throughout Season 5, since the Mission mode will offer bits of history.

Everyone who wants to be part of the first weekly hunt will be able to pack up and go on an adventure. They will do it in a night raid to the Kings Canyon, where they must recover the mentioned pieces to get a cryptic artifact. Legends will be able to face this challenge both alone and with their squad, although "to earn rewards, the players must access the mission themselves". According to EA, the rewards will unlock narrative chapters that tell the story of the artifact, known as The Broken Ghost. All of this will be triggered by putting the pieces together, at which point we will delve into the past of Apex Legends.

A new study dedicated to Apex

The entertainment giant already explained months ago the importance of Apex Legends within the company's strategy. Thus, Respawn Entertainment has just opened a studio dedicated solely to this video game. Henry Lee will be the director of operations, while Steven Ferreira will serve as director of the team. Ghad Greinier will be in charge of the project. By April Respawn Vancouver, EA will try to release some workload to the main studio, located in California. On the other hand, the study has ensured that they currently do not have any titles from the Titanfall saga in preparation.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play title available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Like Fortnite, its most powerful competitor, the game will feature a version for the next generation of consoles.
