Respawn Entertainment confirms that they are working to make adjustments to Caustic’s power in Apex Legends, one of the most played champions.
Apex Legends will continue to adjust the power of Caustic, one of the champions that accompanied the game’s launch in 2019. During a Q&A on Reddit, John Larson, associate live balance designer at Respawn Entertainment, explained that they are listening to the community to change the position the character is in at the moment.
“We listen to the feedback from the community, and as a player I feel it valid, we have data that supports that it is strong, and it will have attention in the near future,” says Larson. He says Caustic has “the highest win rate in games over 20 minutes.” “Caustic plays a unique role as a defensive champion who can perform offensively in certain arenas, and we need to make sure we adjust him in a way that eliminates frustration without hurting how he feels playing Caustic,” he says.

Larson also assures that since they introduced changes in the gas, opportunities have appeared that they did not foresee: “I think that since the gas changed to allow teammates to play within it, there was a potential that we did not realize that was quickly exploited in recent months ”.
As for the current affairs of the battle royale, from February 9 until February 23 will see the start of the Anniversary Collection, an event dedicated to celebrating its second anniversary in the market.
