Arc Raiders’ open beta in China has rolled out a PvE‑oriented “Rebellion Incident” map condition, intensifying hopes that a dedicated PvE experience may reach the global client.
Dual Boss and Rebellion Incident expand map variety
The Chinese build also adds a “Dual Boss” scenario, often labeled Double King/Queen, where both the Matriarch and Queen ARC appear simultaneously, forcing crews to tackle two high‑tier adversaries on a single field. Together with the Rebellion Incident, these two conditions represent the most requested content since the title’s launch.
Rebellion Incident redefines cooperation and betrayal
Designed as a low‑difficulty encounter, the mode supplies plentiful resources and initially prevents players from harming one another. At any moment, a participant may opt for the rebel route, triggering a betrayal system that marks the offender as a “traitor” and broadcasts their location to the remaining squad. Friendly players can then coordinate a hunt to eliminate the turncoat, turning the session into a hybrid of cooperative PvE and tense player‑vs‑player intrigue.
Implications for the worldwide version
Although currently exclusive to the Chinese beta, community chatter suggests Embark Studios may integrate the Rebellion Incident and Dual Boss conditions into the global release. Fans have already praised the fresh dynamics on social platforms, and the developer’s earlier success balancing PvPvE in the international build hints at a seamless transition.
